Pool cage rescreen cost in Lake Mary, FL
Published Florida market ranges for a full cage rescreen run from roughly $800 for a small under-20-panel lanai to $4,500 or more for a large two-storey mansard cage, with Seminole County’s own published ranges running somewhat higher on the top end. Those are researched market estimates from named third-party contractors — Lake Mary Rescreening’s own rate starts at $1.76 per square foot, installed, the real floor against the ranges below.

In-region and Orlando-metro sources only. Out-of- region Florida contractors (Tampa Bay, Southwest Florida, North Central Florida) were also checked and publish broadly similar ranges, but are not shown here as this site prefers sources closest to Seminole County. None of these figures are Lake Mary-specific — no published Lake Mary or Seminole County price data by city was found; the two Florida Pool Enclosures rows above are the closest available, from a Seminole County (Longwood) contractor pricing by cage size rather than by city.
When the job is more than mesh
If the frame itself needs work — a corroded upright, a beam, or the gutter — that is priced separately from the mesh, and is the reason a “full cage restoration” quote can run wider than a straight rescreen.
| Item | Published range |
|---|---|
| Corroded upright (post) replacement | $300 – $700 per post |
| Beam replacement | $400 – $1,200 per beam |
| Super gutter | $35 – $75 per linear foot |
| Full cage restoration (frame + rescreen combined) | $2,500 – $7,500+ |

What actually moves your number
- Panel count and position. Upper and mansard panels cost more per panel than ground level — see single panel repair cost for the per-panel breakdown.
- Mesh choice. Standard 18x14, 20x20 no-see-um, pet-resistant or solar all price differently — see mesh upgrade cost.
- Access. Tight side yards, like Tuscany’s, or a cage behind a locked gated-community entrance both add real time.
- Fastener condition. Corroded gutter and beam screws on an older cage — see rust at the fasteners — are often the difference between a rescreen quote and a restoration quote.
Questions people actually ask
Why do two rescreen quotes for the same cage come back so different?
Almost always panel count and position — not a markup difference. A quote that counts upper and mansard panels separately from ground-level ones, and states whether gutter and beam fasteners are included, will read higher than one that quotes a flat per-square-foot number and says nothing about condition. The higher number is often the more honest one. See the spec table on the home page for the seven lines every quote should state.
Is a full cage restoration the same as a rescreen?
No. A rescreen replaces mesh and spline on an existing, structurally sound frame. A full cage restoration adds frame work — upright, beam or gutter replacement — on top of that, which is why published restoration ranges run meaningfully higher and wider ($2,500–$7,500+) than a straight rescreen. Rust at the fasteners is the usual reason a job turns out to need one.
